Munich — Salzburg — Vienna

Itinerary
We travel by train or bus to Salzburg. Our exploration of this lovely city begins with a Walking Tour of the historic core, including the Mozarthaus, birthplace of the city’s most famous son. We have time for lunch and later in the afternoon proceed to Vienna. Transferring to the hotel, we check in and either have the optional concert to look forward to, or the evening is at leisure for you to make your own plans. (B)

Perhaps visit one of the famous churches, the Art of Natural History Museums, the Musik Haus, Albertina, or one of the many other fascinating collections in the Museum Quarter. (B)

The day is left free for you to enjoy as you wish.
Maybe stroll cosmopolitan Kartnerstrasse and enjoy a slice of Sacher torte, enjoy the city panorama from the Prater Ferris wheel, or spend a contemplative afternoon at the Vienna Zentral Friedhof, the world’s second largest cemetery,
and resting place of many famous musicians. (B)

Vienna is full of monumental buildings and famed institutions. Maybe see an art exhibit at the Belvedere, visit the Spanish Riding School or Schoenbrunn Palace, where a six-year-old prodigy named Mozart gave his first concert,
before the indomitable Holy Roman Empress Maria Theresia (258 years ago.) If not attending the optional concerts the evening is at leisure for you to enjoy the nightlife or make plans to enjoy other performances individually. (B)
