Half day city tour with Topkapi Palace, St.Sophia,
Blue Mosque and Hippodrome Square - afternoon at leisure
for painting, shopping, etc - dinner at a typical Kumkapi
restaurant (B,D) |

ISTANBUL
Tour of the Bosphorus, lined with magnificent waterfront
palaces - there is a chance to paint Istanbul from that
lovely vantage point - dinner at a local Turkish restaurant

ISTANBUL - CANAKKALE - ASSOS
Today we follow the footsteps of Alexander the Great
across the Dardanelles ( by boat of course ) - we visit
the remnants of the fabled city of Troy en route to Assos,
a harbour overlooked by Greek ruins (B,D) |

ASSOS
Brief sightseeing of Behramkale - afternoon at leisure
in the small and cozy fishing village, one of the prettiest
harbours of the Aegean (B,D) |

ASSOS - KUSADASI
Morning departure from hotel and drive via Izmir along
the Aegean Coast - en route we visit Pergamum - dinner
and overnight in Kusadasi (B,D) |

KUSADASI
Visit of Ephesos ( with the house of Virgin Mary and
the Basilica of St.John), without question one of the Ancient
World's most evocative and awesome remnants (B,D) |

KUSADASI - BODRUM
Today we drive down to Bodrum, ancient Halicarnassus
- time at leisure and to paint (B,D) |

BODRUM
Half day boat tour visiting the bays around Bodrum
- this afternoon there is time to head off on your own
to soak up the atmosphere of the historic place, find your
favorite spot to paint or to join us on a drive to visit
one of the villages (B,D) |

BODRUM
All day at leisure to paint and enjoy the town's whitewashed
houses, flowers, bazaars, famous yachting harbour and fine
Crusader castle (B,D) |

BODRUM - PAMUKKALE
Today we drive inland to a region moulded by thermal
springs - we visit the ancient spa of Hierapolis and marble
city of Aphrodisias before arriving in Pamukkale (B,D) |

PAMUKKALE - CAPADOCCIA
The fascinating landscapes of Turkey will accompany
us on our drive to Egirdir Lake ( a beautiful inland lake
where there is also time for lunch and painting ) and Konya
- check in and dinner (B,D) |

CAPPADOCIA
Visit to Goreme Valley and the underground city of
Derinkuyu or Kaymakh - after lunch there is still time
to visit some of the valley's painted churches (B,D) |

CAPPADOCIA
Morning at leisure for painting in and around Cappadocia,
a region honeycombed with troglydyte dwellings - our bus
is available for visiting villages in the area (B,D) |

CAPPADOCIA - KAYSERI - ISTANBUL
Morning drive to Kayseri for the flight to Istanbul
-still time do some sightseeing and shopping and last sketches
but save some energy for a Turkish Cultural Evening with
Farewell Dinner (B,D) |

ISTANBUL - VANCOUVER
Transfer to the airport and flight home - arrival same
day (B) |
