VANCOUVER - VIENNA
Departure for Vienna |

ARRIVE VIENNA
After arrival transfer to hotel in Vienna / area
- check in and dinner |
| Day 03
|
VIENNA
All day touring in Vienna, visiting the major sights
along the Ringstrasse, the Inner City with St.Stephan's
Cathedral, Charles church and Schönbrunn Palace |
| Day 04
|
VIENNA - MELK - SALZBURG
AREA
Drive through the Wachau valley past Klosterneuburg
to Duernstein( where Richard Lionheart was imprisoned
) - there we embark on a 2 hour boat trip on the Danube
to Melk where we take a tour of the monastery and then
we head west to the Salzburg area |

SALZBURG AREA
Excursion to Salzburg and city tour there - in the
afternoon drive through the lake district to Mondsee
( where Sound of Music was partly filmed ) and St.Gilgen
am Wolfgangsee |
| Day 06
|
SALZBURG AREA - INNSBRUCK
We drive to Innsbruck where we have a city tour with
the Golden Roof, Olympic sites, etc… after dinner
Tyrolean evening with dances and music from the Alps |
| Day 07
|
INNSBRUCK - VERONA -
PADOVA
Departure for Italy - stop in Verona to see Juliet's
balcony - time for lunch and then on to the town of St.Anthony |
| Day 08
|
PADOVA - VENICE - PADOVA
Day trip to Venice and sightseeing including Piazza
and Basilica San Marco - then return to Padova and time
there in the evening |
| Day 09
|
PADOVA - FLORENCE AREA
Travel accross the Apennines to Tuscany - afternoon
city tour of Florence with Santa Croce, the Duomo and
Ponte Vecchio - time to enjoy the city - overnight in
the Florence area |
| Day 10

FLORENCE AREA - SIENA
- ASSISI
Morning departure and stop in the beautiful town
of Siena - in the afternoon on to Assisi - time there
in the evening |
| Day 11
|
ASSISI
All day in the town of St.Francis and St.Clare -
time to visit the Basilica and to enjoy the quaintness
of the town… |
| Day 12
|
ASSISI - LANCIANO - SAN
GIOVANNI
We leave for the Adriatic Coast and visit Lanciano
( Eucharistic Miracle ) - then travel on and stop for
the night in San Giovanni Rotondo, the town of Padre
Pio (1918 - 1968), the first stigmatized priest in the
history of the church |
| Day 13
|
SAN GIOVANNI - AVELLINO/SALERNO
AREA
After sunday mass we still have some time in the
town of Padre Pio - then we leave in the afternoon -
and we overnight in the Avellino/Salerno area |
| Day 14
|
AVELLINO/SALERNO AREA
- MONTECASSINO - ROME
In the morning we head for the town of Pompei, at
the foot of Mount Vesuvio - after a tour of the excavations
and time for lunch we travel north and drive up the impressive
hill to the founding place of the Benedictine Order (
St.Benedict founded it in 529 ) - in the late afternoon
we continue on to the Eternal City - check in and dinner |
| Day 15

ROME
All day Rome with Panoramic City tour including the
Colosseum and then St.Peter's Basilica - afternoon visit
to Santa Maria Maggiore, Trevi Fountain and Piazza Navona |
| Day 16
|
ROME
All day Rome with Vatican Museum and the Sistine
Chapel - afternoon at leisure |
| Day 17
|
ROME - VANCOUVER
Departure for home and arrival same day |
