CANADA - PARIS
Departure for Europe |
| Day 02
|
ARRIVE PARIS
After arrival in Paris - to hotel and depending on
arrival time brief orientation tour - then check in and
dinner |
| Day 03
|
PARIS - CAEN/NORMANDY
Morning city tour with Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame and
all the other famous sites - then after lunch departure
for Normandy - there we check into our hotel and have
dinner |
| Day 04
|
CAEN/NORMANDY
We start the day with a drive to Verrieres Ridge
before our ceremony at Cintheaux/Bretteville sur Mer
Cemetery - driving down the Falaise Gap we head to the
town of William the Conquerer (Falaise ) - there is time
for lunch there before returning via Trun and St.Lambert
( Major Currie, VC ) to the Caen area and we visit Ardenne
Abbey before returning to our hotel |
| Day 05
|
CAEN/NORMANDY
Morning visit to the Bayeux Memorial Museum - then
on to Arromanches and the landing Beaches where one can
still see parts of the Mulberry Harbour - there will
be time for lunch in scenic Courseulles - the above program
will be arranged according to the timing of the official
opening ceremonies of Juno Beach Memorial today - afterwards
we visit the beaches at Bernieres and St.Aubin |
| Day 06
|
CAEN/NORMANDY
This morning we visit the impressive Caen Peace Memorial,
the greatest museum in Normandy and then there is time
for lunch in Caen itself before we take a drive through
the surrounding areas with Audrieu, Putot and the Carpiquet
Airfield and we might head out to Omaha Beach as well
- before heading for Beny-Sur Mer /Reviers Cemetery for
a ceremony - then we return to the hotel |
| Day 07
|
CAEN/NORMANDY
All day excursion to the scenic town of Mont-St-Michel,
travelling through Normandy's charming countryside to
the border of the Britanny region - we return in the
late afternoon to Caen |
| Day 08
|
CAEN/NORMANDY
Today we visit Pegasus Bridge and then travel along
the beach to Honfleur, from where the first explorers
left to voyage to Canada ! A relaxing day that gives
you also a bit of time to shop and relax before returning
home |
| Day 09
|
CAEN/NORMANDY - PARIS
- CANADA
We leave early today to drive to the airport of Paris
for our flight home to Canada |
